AV Integrators design and install complex low-voltage systems, ranging from high-end residential smart homes to massive commercial stadium displays and corporate teleconferencing hubs. Because their work involves expensive, delicate hardware and integration with a client’s IT network, AV Integrator insurance is designed to address the risks of hardware damage, system failure, and cyber-related vulnerabilities, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations of the policy issued.

1. Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions)

AV integrators do more than just hang TVs; they design complex signal paths and control logic. If a system is designed incorrectly—for example, a "latency" issue that makes a courtroom recording system unusable or an integration failure in a mission-critical operations center—Professional Liability covers the financial loss and the cost to redesign the solution.

2. Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O)

Since many AV systems are now software-based and live on the client’s network, Tech E&O is critical. This addresses claims where a software glitch or a configuration error in the AV control system causes a business disruption for the client (e.g., a corporate headquarters unable to host meetings for a week).

3. General Liability & "Care, Custody, and Control"

Integrators often work in finished spaces around very expensive furniture and decor. This coverage protects the firm if a technician drops a projector onto a glass table or drills through a hidden pipe. It also covers "Completed Operations" if a wall-mounted display falls and causes injury or property damage after the crew has left.

4. Installation Floater & Transit Coverage

AV hardware (LED walls, high-end processors, and cinema projectors) is incredibly valuable and easily damaged or stolen. An Installation Floater ensures that if a $100k LED processor is stolen from the job site or crushed during delivery, the firm isn't forced to eat the replacement cost.
