Fire sprinkler contractors design, install, and maintain life-safety systems that protect buildings from fire. However, the irony of this trade is that their primary liability often stems from the very thing they use to fight fires: water. 3. "Care, Custody, and Control" (Existing Structures)

Sprinkler contractors often work in existing occupied buildings. This protection is vital for accidental damage to the client’s ceiling grids, lighting, or specialized equipment while the contractor is maneuvering pipes or performing "hot work" (welding/soldering) in tight attic spaces.

4. Testing & Maintenance Liability
